Will the Jot Touch, if used with a Jot ready app, feature some sort of palm rejection which would allow me to rest my hand on the screen while writing?
Thanks, Jo

Pressure sensitivity and palm rejection (whether through stylus or screen), needs a app integration in order to work; that means cooperation with app developers. I'm not sure many tablets are heading in that direction.

that's a shame, it sounded all so perfect...snif...
I'm gonna wait for the second generation I think. But I suspect, or maybe hope is a better word, by that time pressure sensitivity and palm rejection will be standard on some tablets.

Yes Henry, send an email to help@adonit.net and we'll handle your refund. Joachim, Facebook isn't our main communication tool for the Jot Touch; the main communication tool for the Jot Touch has been the page on our website which is exclusive to the Jot Touch, here, to which our Facebook page and our blog and our Twitter account and our help desk have all been linking. That's the official page which has been updated every time any information concerning the Jot Touch was changed.
Thanks for pointing out we overlooked the editing of the sidebar on the page to which you linked; however, the forum FAQ article on that page here is accurate nonetheless; you will note that the information on the Jot Touch there does not say anything about palm rejection.

Thanks for answering, Jon.
Seems like I will wait for the next version then.
On a different note: I am sorry to say, but using Facebook as your main communication tool is poor marketing. It would be good to also update your own site as well, which still reads:
"The simple answer is that this first generation of Jot Touch will not have palm rejection; not when it is released, nor as a later software update.
As we have mentioned several times on Facebook, palm rejection will be implemented in the second generation of Jot Touch, which will use Bluetooth 4."
Crap, didn't read this support thread on palm rejection before ordering. So which mean with today's Jot Touch release is Generation 1 unit and no support of palm rejection? Can I do a Paypal refund for it and my order ID is 7M705508TG2083649. Thank you.

Sorry we haven't mentioned it here, this question has been asked and answered repeatedly on our Facebook page over the last week.
Palm rejection was removed from the list of features on our Jot Touch information page at least two months ago, and we have not been shy about answering questions about it on Facebook. Customer service staff have been directing questions on palm rejection to the Jot Touch information page and to Facebook, for the last two months.

Hmmm, why no response adonit? Are you perhaps hoping that not explicitly mentioning whether this feature is still included will prompt some people to make a purchase based on prior specs?

If palm rejection is to be added at a later date, will this be a hardware update (i.e. - requiring the purchase of a "Mk2" Jot Touch), or an update to the SDK/firmware? This is a crucial question for me as whilst the pressure sensitivity is a welcome feature, it's the promise of palm rejection that attracted me to the stylus. I'm prepared to buy the Jot Touch now if palm rejection is on the way for this version of the stylus...but couldn't justify the investment otherwise. Hoping it's a firmware/SDK issue!!

I agree. I have been waiting for the past few months to buy this stylus only for the palm rejection feature that was promised. If it does not have it, no sale.

THE most exciting parts of the Jot touch were the palm rejection and pressure sensitivity. Without both, it's a deal breaker at $99. Looks like the much-touted palm rejection isn't happening on that vid. Will palm rejection come in a future software/firmware update? Please pease PLEASE make it so!

I've been wondering the same thing. From the looks of the new Jot Touch video, there won't be palm rejection. Too bad, this is probably going to be a deal breaker for me. It seems like such a key feature. I hope I am wrong!

The Jot Touch does everything the Jot Pro does now, and more; it adds pressure sensitivity, palm rejection, and buttons to open apps." http://support.adonit.net/categories/20036097-jot-touch
Looking forward to Jot Touch 2.0 :-)
