The Jot Touch features the same precision disc of all our Jots, as well as the soft satin finish rubber grip of the Jot Pro (though it lacks the internal magnet); 256 levels of pressure sensitivity, and two programmable buttons for interaction with your favorite apps, are its most important features.
It connects wirelessly to your device via Bluetooth, and its internal battery is recharged using a small dongle which plugs into a spare USB port.

Michael, please send an email to help@adonit.net and describe your problem. There is no reason why your Jot Pro should not be working with your tablet. All our Jots work with any capacitive touch screen. If it isn't working then there's a manufacturing defect with your Jot, or your tablet may have received a firmware update which messed up your screen's sensor.
Hi
I purchased the Jot Pro for my Samsung Galaxy 10.1 as the Adonit website says it would work with it, but it does not. It merely shows some illegible scrawl marks. Will the Jot Touch work with this device.
Paulo, unfortunately I don't have any more information about the Jot Touch than what's on the website.
is there support for palm rejection withe SDK and Adonit yot touc?
That is something I cant find in the information on the Adonit web site.
Paulo, that's a great idea for an app but it's a non-trivial software challenge. We're not an app company, and our resources for such a project are very limited.
i'm back again this time with an App idea suited for the adonit jot touch stilus. i've also posted it on the Adnit FaceBook page.
Can you guys develop an app that makes your iPad a pressure sensitive Wacom tablet?
An app that shows the screen of your computer via Screen sharing, supports pressure sensitivity using your own SDK with your own adonit jot touch stylus would be a killer app and a cheap cintiq replacement
There aren't any aps that can do that. It should be able to connect over Bluetooth with a Mac or PC and communicate so the iPad can react like a wacom cintiq tablet.
I hope you guys wil use this app idea. And it is a extra reason people to want the adonit jot touch stylus.
I would love to make you happy, but I have been given no new information about the Jot Touch. The best place to check for updates is our Facebook page.
Hi There,
Can you make me happy and provide us with some new information about the Jot touch stilus?
I want to buy it. It should work with Paper by fifty three and procreate. thats fine by me.
These two apps are one the best in there category.
It's not misleading, because it's describing the platforms with which the Jot Touch is compatible. This information is important for software developers. Although as I have said we are only initially targeting the iOS market, we would like to expand the Jot Touch's integration with other platforms later. This information advises other software developers that our product is compatible with theirs, so they know they can work with us in the future.
"Jot Touch’s Bluetooth connection means it can work on any platform; iOS, Android, and Windows" This is quoted from http://adonit.net/product/jot-touch
surely that is a misleading statement if you're only aiming at iOS?
Paulo, we have no current plans for PC development; iOS is our initial target platform.
At present only iOS apps are integrating our SDK, so they'll be the apps which recognize the pressure input of the stylus. Integration on other operating systems will take time.
Hi Jon, thanks for the reply, i was also wondering how the touch will perform on a windows touch screen monitor, will windows 7 recognize the pressure sensitivity of the pen? and will there be a separate driver for windows? thanks in advance.
Any release date posted by anyone other than us is speculative; we are waiting on a number of application developers who are integrating our SDK, and cannot predict a release date accurately, let alone accurate to a specific day. We are treating customers fairly by not offering a pre-order for a product without a firm release date, and anyone who pre-orders from a retailer is taking the risk of waiting an indeterminate length of time.
Sorry to bump an old thread, i read that the expected release date for the UK is June 1st http://www.execspot.com/new-adonit-jot-touch-a-stylus-that-thinks-i... is there any credibility to this or are the just guessing? i don't want to pre order just to be let down, thanks in advance for your reply :)
Thanks James, we're giving you all the information we have; feature list, list of compatible apps, price point. Keep an eye on the official page for the Jot Touch, since any changes or updates will be listed here.
http://adonit.net/product/jot-touch
Dear Jimmy, as mentioned on the page in which we describe the Jot Touch, it has an internal rechargeable battery.
http://adonit.net/product/jot-touch
Paulo, you're right that it's a difficult balance to try and strike. The most important part for us is satisfying the customers of ours who sent in app integration requests. The pressure sensitivity of the Jot Touch doesn't work without app support; releasing it without this support would be like asking people to pay US$100 for a Jot Pro. The rest of your questions and suggestions are best sent to media@adonit.net.
Moe, as I have explained several times previously, we are currently waiting for app developers to finish integrating our SDK, so that the Jot Touch will have widespread support on release. If we don't wait, the Jot Touch will be no improvement on the current Jot.
James, yes you will be able to attach your iPad to a projector while using the Jot Touch, as long as your iPad doesn't connect to the projector using Bluetooth in such a way as denies the Jot Touch a Bluetooth connection. I don't have any information on Goodreader at present.
Molly, we share your frustration; we're the people who want to sell this product. You lose nothing by the release delay, we lose money. If we had any idea about when app developers will have finished integrating our SDK, we would be able to tell you. We're not deliberately keeping information from you, and we are not deliberately withholding a product which we could be selling.
Is there any actual news regarding this product? Anything? Will it actually function with android devices as well as ipad? Will it be available sometime this year? What's going on? The last mention I saw of the touch was a little blurb about it in a quick article about the Writer 2, and that was more a long the lines of 'We're getting more Writer 2s in, don't worry! Oh, the Jot... Yeah, it's a thing.' It's incredibly frustrating as a customer being left in the dark regarding a product that we've been told would be released in about a month... Over a month ago. There's not even a preorder page or something to suggest that, as potential customers, it could very well be in our hands soon.
And another day passed without any new info about the jot touch release date...
$100 is a very stiff price, the other stylus that I have been interest in is $89 which is already pricey... both got sensitivity, precision, require charge.... I am looking forward to see next Jot improve the connection disk.
Kari, I will have to ask if there are any Android apps currently developing with our SDK. Yes, if there's an app which you like please contact the developers and ask them to integrate our SDK; developers are provided with a Jot Touch when developing their app for use with the Jot Touch.
Also, would you suggest that we email our favorite developers and ask them to start working on something for the Touch? If they do, will you provide them a Touch to use with developement?
You said that there aren't any Android apps that work with the Jot Touch yet, but are there any in developement?
That sounds like massive support. I hope the Jot Touch will be in my hands soon
Paulo, we have a list of popular apps about four times that long.
These are the Apps that are jot ready so far. http://adonit.net/product/jot-ready-apps/
Is there any particular number of apps you are waiting for of one specific app that you are waiting for?
Procreate 1.6 is my favorite. I wonder which apps will follow. Any word on that?
Dear Benson, we don't develop apps for the Jot Touch; third party app developers integrate our SDK with our product. Releasing the Jot Touch before it has significant app support wouldn't be a good marketing move.
Dear Susan, the Jot Touch will be US$100, as we have advertised.
Thanks for the info. Would be cool if there was a pre-order page. Why not release it with software updates with new app support?
Dear Benson, no we don't have an ETA yet. We are currently waiting on a few app developers to complete their integration of our SDK with their product. Without these apps, users of the Jot Touch will not have access to its advanced features, including pressure sensitivity.
Hi Jon
It's now mid April. Do you have a release date yet?
Yes it will work with a iPad 2. Yes we will ship internationally. You can keep updated with which apps are using our SDK, by reading this page.
http://adonit.net/jot-ready-sdk
So will this work with an iPad 2? And will you guys ship international? Any word on integration with sketchbook mobile?
The developers of Procreate have been using a pre-production Jot Touch. They've incorporated our Jot SDK, which is why the Jot and Jot Touch work perfectly in the latest version of their app, 1.6. The Procreate developer is referring to the fact that they haven't been sent an SDK specific to the Jot Touch; our Jot SDK is generic to all our Jots.
Iám a little bit confused right now.
One of the devs called vo1d says that he never received a production device or the latest SDK:

Exact in the middle of the page. a replie to Gabriel.
nice
I cant wait. And i hope there will be more and more jot ready apps soon. Procreate is the one i was waiting for. I hope paper will be one of the. And some animation apps like these http://appadvice.com/appguides/show/animation-apps-for-ipad
The developers of Procreate have been using our Jot Touch for a while, and have just updated their software, as you can see. Other developers are also using our Jot Touch, and we are waiting for their updates as well.
Procreat has been updated to 1.6 and supports jot touch now.
When can we use procreate with the jot touch?
does it even exist?
There are plans for Android development, but in order for that to happen Android app developers need to adopt our SDK. This takes time.
Honestly, I would -love- to know that this will definitely work with my android tablet like it is supposed to for the iPad, but you had mentioned that there are currently no android available apps that will take advantage of the pressure sensitivity of this product. Are there any plans to change that that you know of? Will android customers be able to use this product, complete with pressure sensitivity, or will it just be a very expensive Jot Pro for us? I'm very happy to see products like this coming out and have been telling my friends who do have iPads about it, but I would like to know if there are plans for potential android customers, too.
Unfortunately I don't have a firm release date for the Jot Touch yet.
When can we preorder the Jot touch?
Cant wait... so exited :P
We are still waiting for several application developers to confirm their use of our SDK. When they have confirmed, we will be publishing the list.
Not yet.
Will the Procreate app take advantage of the Jot Touch?
Geordie, yes if you turn the Jot Touch off, or its battery runs out, it will still work just like an ordinary Jot Pro without the pressure sensitivity and Bluetooth features. Moe, It will cost around US$100; that's all the pricing information I have available right now. I would set aside US$100 if I were you.
So this should be available within the next month or so. Any idea about how much it will cost? I've read that it should be less than $100, but something a little more specific on the price would give me a better idea of what to set aside for this.
Once your Jot Touch's battery runs out, does it still function like an ordinary Jot Pro? (without pressure sensitivity, bluetooth features etc.?)
Dear Eric,
The Jot Touch should be available soon; in the next month.
When is this going to be available for purchase?
